New York Fashion Week is in progress, and designers continue to impress and delight. Two collections stand out in particular, for their timeless glamour and unabashed use of floral embellishments: Rodarte and Marchesa.
Though expressed in a very different tone, both collections are romantic and feminine, filled with lace and ruffles. But while Rodarte's models walked the runway with goth lipstick and dark hued fabrics, Marchesa's looked like protagonists from the pages of a modern fairy tale. Despite the differences in effect, both collections’ use of florals felt fresh and integral, and bodes well for the floral trend this year.
To channel the romantic glamour of these floral heavy collections, try some of our favorite pieces from East, in sterling silver with white pearl, rhodolite garnet and pink sapphire gems.
